A Slice Of Bread

Probably appropriate given the last post.

After a less than tremendous afternoon at the dentist I stopped in at the charity shop located near by and bought ‘See How It’s Made – The loaf of bread’ to add to my ever increasing collection of illustrated children’s books.

This latest addition was published in 1974 by Macmillan Education Ltd., printed in Great Britain by the splendidly named Ebenezer Baylis & Son Ltd and perhaps most importantly beautifully illustrated by Michael Ricketts.

[UPDATE : By an extremely pleasing coincidence I’ve now managed to pick up another copy of a book from the same series, (albeit Set 2), namely ‘See How It’s Made – The house’ – will now seek to locate copies of ‘The motorway’ and ‘The television programme’.]
