Microscopic Beasts !
It’s been an odd week – aren’t the all eh ? But as ever there have been a number of things that have helped improve it no end. One of those being the arrival of Parasites, a short comic from, amongst others, Edward Ross, someone who I met through the #100 Days project earlier in the year.
I can’t remember whether I’ve mentioned Ed’s work here before now however if I haven’t I should have done because it’s thoughtful, witty stuff illustrated with a pleasing clarity.
As I said Parasites is a short comic perhaps unsurprisingly dedicated (and admittedly that’s probably not the right word) to the complex and fascinating world of parasites. It’s also probably one of the few comics ever co-produced in conjunction with the Wellcome Trust Centre for Molecular Parasitology at the University of Glasgow.
So if you’re interested (and you should be) go and buy one of Edward’s excellent solo comics on film theory – and yes that might sound a little dry but I can assure you it’s not (I have copies of both of them and they’re excellent) – from his website over here and he’ll throw in a copy of Parasites free of charge.
