Well the same time constraints that occurred on the 24th strangely also occurred on the 25th – so rather than work on anything too complicated I decided to dust down this family set that I bought in a charity shop in town earlier this year.

As far as I can tell (and the box that they came in seems to agree) this set was LEGO’s first foray into people – and this, the LEGO family, was launched in 1974.

(Apologies to all the grandfather’s in the house, as it seems that LEGO thought you were surplus to requirements . . .)
