Collected Ephemera #02
– Not sure what to make of this. I haven’t been to Leicester for a while though when I did last go it wasn’t overrun with striking buildings so this will make a change even if it’s not to everyone’s taste. According to the linked article the building will consist of “luminous assembly [in which] solid architecture will play the role of a dressed stone setting; it will have to count just enough to make the interior daylight vibrate with as much intensity as possible”. Anyone help me out with that last sentence ? Did I miss a meeting ?
– Cut this piece from the Guardian on Monday about how heavy restrictions on advertising have led to surprisingly creative results – it’s an interesting idea and rather cutely feeds across to the reference I made to the "Not A Box" book earlier in the week.
